GOD STILL PERFORMS MIRACLES!
Sixteen-year-old Corey Laney is a miracle.
He was born into a life of drugs and neglect.
GOD has kept a hedge around Corey since his birth. and protected him from many dangers while in the care of his birth-mother.
Corey's birth-parents were never married.
He lived with his birth-mother, who is a drug-addict.
She moved him and his half-brother and half-sisters from place to place.Their environment was filled with drugs, fighting, being left in the care of others who did not have their best interest at heart and wondering where their next meal was coming from.
When he was three-years old, a maternal uncle took Corey in, where he stayed til he was 7yrs.old.
The uncle was a preacher, who gave Corey a safe place to stay.
GOD had rescued him from an impossible situation .
A few hours away.....Corey had grandparents who prayed and prayed for Corey's birth-mother to give them custody of the little boy that they loved so much.
It was a miracle from GOD when she finally signed the custody papers.
He has lived with his paternal grandparents,( whom he considers his parents ) since the first grade and is so very thankful for GOD'S mercy upon his life.
Corey gave his life to GOD and was saved when he was nine years old.
He was coming home from football practice when he came upon a church that was holding a revival.He asked his grandmother to stop,telling her that he needed to go in and pray for GOD to save him.
He marched right up the aisle in his muddy,sweaty, football uniform and knelt down at the altar and asked GOD to save him.
Corey's childhood had taken many roads.
Some were very trying for a little boy.....but GOD was always there,by his side.
Recently...Corey and his birth-father were reunited.
They had not seen each other for quite a few years.
Please pray that they might begin to build a relationship.
